Registered Psychotherapist

with a Jungian Orientation

The heart of our therapeutic work together is to uphold the care and psychological work needed to help you understand your life, deepen your self awareness and experience healing. I work in a process-oriented and holistic way that centres around connecting you with the deepest parts of your nature. From this authentic place, you have the potential to re-integrate parts of yourself and balance yourself in a way that feels strengthening, transformative and meaningful. In Jungian psychology this healing journey of self discovery and integration is referred to as the process of Individuation.

“The greatest and most important problems of life are all in a certain sense insoluble….They can never be solved, but only outgrown….This ‘outgrowing,’ as I formerly called it, on further experience was seen to consist in a new level of consciousness. Some higher or wider interest arose on the person’s horizon, and through this widening of view, the insoluble problem lost its urgency. It was not solved logically in its own terms, but faded out when confronted with a new and stronger life-tendency.”

Our Work Together

We can become psychologically fragmented and out of balance for a variety of reasons. Your psyche speaks of this condition through symptoms such as anxiety, depression, nightmares, poor body image, insomnia, health challenges, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, addictions, disordered eating, perfectionism, low self-worth, self-sabotaging behaviours, and persistent fear.

We can feel disconnected, even exiled, from ourself. We may be at battle with our body, suffering from chronic tension and health problems, unable to relax and experience the body as a wise guide and place of calm dwelling. We may feel confused by our emotions, not understanding why we feel and act the way we do. Our work together will help you understand your emotions as messengers and how to relate to them.

I can also help you learn how to mediate negative psychological complexes and remove the burden of negative introjects: false ideas implanted in your psyche via childhood trauma, generational wounds, relationship challenges, and harmful cultural influences often conveyed through social media, consumerism and other forms of exploitive capitalism.

I can help you make sense of your struggles.

Understanding your challenges in a meaningful way often brings relief and a sense of clarity.

New possibility—a widening view—begins to come into form.
